How to Apply for a Job in Ukraine
Filling the form takes five minutes. The real work starts the moment we receive it: matching you with a verified Ukrainian employer who needs your skills.
What happens after you apply
Your application lands in our Kyiv recruitment desk and a real person reviews it within 24 hours, often much faster on weekdays. We check that the role exists in our active employer pipeline and that your profile is a good fit.
If we have a match we schedule a video call or technical test. If the fit is not immediate we keep your profile active and reach out within four weeks when a suitable role opens.
The first step in working legally in Ukraine is submitting a job application. Whether you want to apply for Ukraine jobs in welding, construction, manufacturing, or another trade, the process starts with the same set of documents and the same form. This guide explains exactly how to apply for Ukraine jobs through Asia Work — what to prepare, how to submit, what happens after, and how to avoid common mistakes that delay your placement.
What to Prepare Before Applying
Before submitting your application, gather the following documents. Having everything ready from the start prevents delays later in the process.
Required documents:
- •Passport scan — color scan of all pages, with at least 12 months validity remaining from the date you plan to travel
- •CV or resume — in English, listing all jobs held in the last 5 years with employer names, dates, and roles
- •Educational certificates — highest completed qualification (diploma, degree, trade certificate)
- •Professional certificates — welding qualifications (AWS, ISO 9606), CNC certifications, trade licenses, or other role-specific credentials
- •Passport-sized photographs — 4 photos, 3.5 × 4.5 cm, white background
- •Work experience proof — reference letters from previous employers or contracts showing relevant experience
Optional but helpful:
- •Video of you performing your trade (welding, CNC operation, construction work) — this significantly speeds up employer matching
- •Language certificates (English, Russian, or Ukrainian) — not required, but gives you access to more positions
- •Medical fitness certificate — confirming no infectious diseases (will be required later regardless)
How to Apply for a Job in Ukraine — Step by Step
Step 1: Submit the Online Application
Go to the Asia Work application form and fill in your personal details, work experience, and desired job category. Upload your passport scan, CV, and any professional certificates. The form takes 5–10 minutes to complete.
You can also apply via WhatsApp or email by sending your documents to info@asiawork.com.ua with a brief description of your experience and the type of work you are looking for.
Step 2: Initial Review (1–3 business days)
Our recruitment team reviews your application. We check:
- •Passport validity and personal details
- •Whether your skills match any open positions
- •Document completeness and quality
- •Your eligibility for a Ukrainian work permit
If information is missing, we contact you via WhatsApp or email with a specific list of what is needed.
Step 3: Employer Matching (3–14 days)
Once your profile is approved, we match you with Ukrainian employers who have open positions matching your qualifications. For high-demand trades (welders, CNC operators), matching can happen within 3 days. For less common specializations, it may take up to 2 weeks.
During this stage, the employer may request:
- •A video interview (via WhatsApp or Zoom, 10–15 minutes)
- •A skills assessment video showing your work
- •Additional references from previous employers
Step 4: Employment Offer
If the employer approves your candidacy, you receive a formal employment offer specifying:
- •Position title and job description
- •Monthly salary (in Ukrainian hryvnia, with approximate USD/EUR equivalent)
- •Contract duration (typically 1–2 years, renewable)
- •Work location (city and company name)
- •Accommodation arrangements
You review and accept the offer. At this point, the work permit process begins.
What Happens After You Submit
Here is the sequence after your application reaches our system:
- •Automated confirmation — you receive an email and WhatsApp message confirming receipt
- •Document review — our team checks all submitted materials within 1–3 business days
- •Profile creation — your profile enters our candidate database, visible to partner employers
- •Matching — we present your profile to employers with relevant vacancies
- •Interview scheduling — if an employer is interested, we arrange a video call
- •Offer issued — accepted candidates receive a formal employment offer
- •Work permit initiated — the employer begins the legal process on your behalf
You are kept informed at every stage via WhatsApp or email. Our team communicates in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Bengali.
Application Timeline
Realistic timelines based on our 2025–2026 placement data:
| Stage | Duration |
|---|---|
| Application submission | 10 minutes |
| Initial review | 1–3 business days |
| Employer matching | 3–14 days |
| Video interview (if needed) | 1–3 days |
| Employment offer | 1–2 days after approval |
| Total: Application to offer | 7–21 days |
After the offer, the work permit and D visa stages add another 4–8 weeks before travel.
Common Mistakes That Delay Applications
We review hundreds of applications monthly. These errors cause the most delays:
- •Blurry passport scans — use a scanner or a document scanning app (CamScanner, Adobe Scan), not a standard phone camera at an angle
- •CV in native language only — we need English. You do not need perfect grammar, but information must be readable
- •No work experience details — listing "welder, 5 years" is not enough. Include employer names, countries, and specific processes (MIG, TIG, pipe welding, etc.)
- •Expired documents — police clearance must be issued within the last 6 months. Passports must have 12+ months validity
- •Wrong job category selected — applying for CNC operator when your experience is manual lathe work leads to mismatches and wasted time
- •No photo or outdated photo — provide a recent passport-style photo. Selfies are not accepted
How to Avoid Rejection
Review your documents against this checklist before submitting:
- •Passport: all pages scanned, in color, legible
- •CV: in English, includes employer names and dates
- •Certificates: readable, includes your full name as it appears on your passport
- •Photos: 3.5 × 4.5 cm, white background, no glasses
If you are unsure whether your documents are sufficient, send them to info@asiawork.com.ua and ask for a pre-check. We provide feedback within 24 hours at no cost.
Who Can Apply?
Asia Work accepts applications from citizens of the following countries:
- •India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal
- •Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, China
- •Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan
- •Workers currently in UAE or Saudi Arabia looking to relocate
Age requirement: 21–55 years old for most positions. Some physically demanding roles (construction, heavy manufacturing) have a maximum age of 50.

Criminal record: a clean police clearance certificate is mandatory. Candidates with criminal records involving violence, fraud, or drug offenses are not eligible for Ukrainian work permits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the application free?
Yes. Candidates never pay Asia Work for the application or job matching process. All service fees are covered by the Ukrainian employer.
Can I apply for multiple job categories?
Yes. If you have experience in both welding and construction, for example, indicate both on your application. We will match you with the best available position.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 1–3 business days for the initial review. If your documents are complete and match open positions, you may receive an employer match within the first week.
Can I apply if I am currently working in another country (UAE, Saudi Arabia)?
Yes. Many of our candidates apply while working in Gulf countries. The process is identical — you will need to travel to your home country for the consulate appointment for the D visa.
What if I do not have professional certificates?
For general positions (factory worker, warehouse, construction helper), formal certificates are not required. For skilled trades (welder, CNC operator, electrician), you need proof of qualification. If you have experience but no certificate, contact us to discuss options.
Can I choose which city I work in?
You can express a preference, but placement depends on where employers have open positions. Most positions are in western and central Ukraine — Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and surrounding regions.
What happens if no employer matches my profile?
Your profile remains active in our database for 6 months. If a matching position opens, we contact you. You can also update your profile with new skills or certificates to improve your chances.
